Homemade Skin Cleanser

by Ginny

Can you give me some homemade skin cleanser tips for dry skin? Also, where can I find more homemade tips and recipes for other health issues?

Thanks much,

Ginny

Hi Ginny,

Thanks for your email regarding Homemade Skin Cleansers. Well first of all if you have dry skin - never use any skin product/cleanser that has a pH balance too far above or below 7.

A good cleanser will state on the label that it's pH balanced.

My favorite homemade skin cleanser for dry skin honey, olive oil, and sugar (or baking soda).

Mix all three together to form a paste and lightly buff your skin. Make sure to buff around the nose and in between eye brows where black heads tend to form.

The honey is a natural exfoliator, the sugar also helps to remove dead skin and the olive oil moisturizer and hydrates the skin. Then rinse off with warm water and blot your skin lightly.

Now, while your skin is still damp and warm, apply a good high quality moisturizer. I use a natural moisturizer that contains botanical and plant extracts. You can read more about it here Herbal Elixir Hydrator.
