Natural Cure for Indigestion

Assuming your indigestion is not caused by the medication or diseases listed above, here are few simple remedies you follow and learn how to cure indigestion or heartburn permanently.

  • First and foremost, if you’re over 40 years of age, you should consider taking a Digestive Enzyme daily. This is the most important natural cure for indigestion!

Our natural digestive enzymes decline with age; which is why older people seem to have problems digesting certain foods that never bothered them before.

If you find that suddenly your favorite food is cause digestive distress, it’s probably due to a lack of digestive enzymes. This problem is most common with consumption of cucumber and green peppers; if this sounds familiar, consider taking digestive enzymes with each meal. Not only will it help your stomach feel better, you’ll increase your absorption of nutrients from these foods.

What are Digestive Enzymes? They are specially tailored proteins that help break down foods into nutrients you can absorb.

We use and recommend Gastric Dr. Digestive Enzymes because it contains plant-based, herbs for indigestion, and broad range enzymes that help breakdown carbohydrates, sugars, fats, fiber, and protein.

  • Another simple natural cure for indigestion is to mix a tablespoon of lemon juice with warm water and drink this three times a day to help improve digestion.
  • Ten minutes before eating meals that cause distress try chewing a piece of fresh ginger, or cumin or fennel seed.
  • Avoid drinking liquids with your meal. Drink them before or after a meal only.
  • Chew your food completely and don’t eat too fast.
  • Don’t lie down for at least ½ hour after eating. Also, don’t do any strenuous exercise right after eating either. The best option would be to go for a slow leisurely walk. This helps improve digestion and burn a few calories. Who couldn’t benefit from that?
  • Don’t ever eat while upset or stressed or suffering from anxiety, fear or grief.
